JUDGING CRITERIA







Type (Body) - Massive, thickset and firm. Short, broad well muscled body, little visible neck. Well-muscled and rounded short rump. Front legs short, thick and straight, rear legs strong, powerful and carried parallel to the body. Broad deep chest, broad strong shoulders.

Ears - Carried close to the cheeks to give the idea of a horseshoe, no visible sign of the underside. Broad, thick, rounded at the ends and well furred.

Head -
Well developed, good width between the eyes, full cheeks, broad muzzle. Prominent crown across top of skull.

Eyes -
Round, bright of good colour.

Colour -
Accept any colour so long as it conforms to the normal pattern of accepted colours of other breeds.

Coat -
Dense with plenty of guard hairs, rollback. The legs and pads of the feet should also be well furred.

Condition -
Firm and healthy.

WEIGHT - As large as possible but not so that the animal is unhealthy or unfit. (note for guidance, the weight of an Adult exhibit should be at least 4.535kgs (10lbs)s)
